Background: Hepatitis A is an emerging public health problem worldwide, with alerts issued in developed countries, although it remains under-reported, under-diagnosed, and under-investigated the developing world. Prolonged epidemics can occur due to person-to-person transmission. Methods: investigation carried out on 30 travelers Indian Himalayan mountain camp. Clinical features were correlated laboratory parameters establishing diagnosis by standard case definition. Results: Most patients young male within age range 20 - years. most common clinical among case-patients anorexia vomiting. revealed a peak 15 from June 22 July 5, Liver function tests showed mild derangement all case-patients. All required hospitalization, mean duration hospital stay as 11.86 ± 2.53 days. fully recovered no fatalities. Conclusions: through consumption untreated stream/river water upstream contamination human/animal excrements. Strengthening surveillance systems, traveler education, vaccination, intersectoral coordination safe supply necessary measure.
